Handcrafted Nature

All our cakes are individually handmade. As a result, the final product may vary slightly from reference or original images or initial discussions. Our bakers may make design adjustments to ensure the cake is structurally sound while staying true to the overall concept.

Please note that dark-coloured cakes (such as black, navy, burgundy, emerald green or deep red) are more prone to colour shifting and "cake sweating" (condensation), especially in Malaysia's hot or humid weather or when moving between chilled and room temperatures. This may cause darker colours to appear patchy, transfer slightly or leave moisture marks on the cake surface. This is a natural reaction to temperature changes and does not affect the freshness, or taste of the cake.

If the cake's appearance is your highest priority, we recommend choosing lighter colours or white as the main base, as they are less likely to show condensation or colour changes.

Decorative Elements

Certain decorations, such as flowers, dragees or pearls or any inedible toppers may naturally shift or detach during handling or transport. This is a common occurrence with handcrafted designs and does not affect the overall quality or taste.

Please note that the flower types and colours may differ from the reference or original photo depending on availability. We may use similar flowers in random varieties and colours that match the overall design.

If you would like the exact flower types or colours shown in the reference original photo, please let us know before placing your order. As these may need to be specially sourced, additional charges will apply.

Colour Variations

We do our best to match colours as accurately as possible. However, slight colour differences may occur due to lighting, screen settings, and the nature of food-grade coloring.

Allergens

Our cakes are made in a kitchen that handles dairy, eggs, gluten (wheat) & nuts. While we take care to avoid cross-contamination, we cannot guarantee that our products are free from allergen traces. If you have a severe allergy or dietary restriction, please inform us before placing an order.

Storage Instructions

To maintain the best quality:

• Keep buttercream cakes refrigerated and bring them to room temperature (around 20–30 minutes) before serving.
• Fondant-decorated cakes should be stored in a cool, air-conditioned space, not the fridge, to avoid condensation.
• Consume cakes within 3 days of collection for best freshness.

Ordering

Q: My event is next month. When should I order?
A: Ideally 3–4 weeks in advance, so we have time to prepare your decor and packaging. You’ll choose your preferred date and time slot at checkout. The earlier you book, the better your chance of getting your slot.

Q: Can I order last-minute for tomorrow?
A: Sometimes, depending on our availability. Please WhatsApp us to check before ordering.

Q: Can I walk in to place an order?
A: Cake consultations are by appointment only. Please WhatsApp us to book a slot between 10am and 6pm, Tuesday to Sunday (closed Mondays). You can also order anytime online.

Q: Do you have ready-stock cakes?
A: Yes! Our 4" Petit Cakes are available daily in our front chiller. Flavours and designs change daily, so feel free to walk in or WhatsApp us to check what’s available.

Q: Do you take bulk or corporate orders?
A: Yes! From mini cakes to gift boxes, we cater for events, doorgifts and corporate gifting. Contact us for a custom quote.

Q: Do you make dummy cakes?
A: Yes. WhatsApp us for a quote.

Design & Colours

Q: Can I customise the design?
A: The designs on our website are fixed but you can change the colours using our Color Palette. Just add your chosen colours in the “Special Remarks” box when ordering. If you’d like a fully customised design, WhatsApp us for a quote.

Q: My colour theme isn’t in your palette. Can I request it?
A: Yes! Just add your preferred colours in the “Special Remarks” box when ordering, and we’ll match them as closely as possible.

Q: I love one of your previous cakes. Can you recreate it exactly?
A: We’ll stay true to the overall design, but because every cake is handmade, expect about 20–30% variation. Thank you for understanding!

Q: Can I see cake sizes in person?
A: Yes, during a consultation appointment. WhatsApp us to book a slot. You can also check our Sizing Guide anytime.

Q: Do you provide a cake knife and candles?
A:

• Knife: Stainless steel for wedding cakes; plastic for all other cakes.
• Candles: Not included, but available as an add-on. Shop candles here.

Delivery & Pickup

Q: Do you deliver?
A: Yes! We offer both delivery and in-store pickup. See delivery areas and rates.

Q: Can I choose my delivery time?
A: Yes, you can pick from the available time slots at checkout. If you need a specific window, WhatsApp us.

Q: I’m sending my own runner (Lalamove, Grab, etc.). Any tips?
A: Always book Car delivery, never a motorbike, whatever the cake size. Also:

• Ask the driver to handle it with care
• Place the cake flat on the front passenger floor
• Point the air-cond towards the cake
• Keep it away from direct heat and sunlight

Payment

Q: What payment methods do you accept?
A:

• Online: FPX online banking, credit/debit card or Paypal
• At the bakery: DuitNow QR and card. We are a cashless store.

Cake Care

Q: How long does the cake last? Can I collect it early?
A: Our cakes are best enjoyed within 3 days of collection. You may collect earlier, but please keep the cake refrigerated and count those days in.

Halal & Dietary

Q: Are your cakes Halal?
A: We are not officially Halal-certified, but we use only Halal-certified ingredients, with no alcohol or gelatin in any product. TDK is Muslim-owned, and everything is baked and prepared by Muslim bakers.

Q: Do you make baby-friendly cakes with no salt or sugar?
A: Sorry, we’re unable to take custom flavour requests such as no-salt or no-sugar cakes at the moment.

Q: Do your cakes contain allergens?
A: Our kitchen handles dairy, eggs, gluten (wheat) and nuts. We take care to avoid cross-contamination but can’t guarantee our products are allergen-free. If you have a severe allergy, please tell us before ordering.

Cancellations

Q: Can I cancel my order?
A: We’re unable to accept cancellations. You may postpone your order by contacting us at least 7 days before your date, or as early as possible.
